Welcome to Iconiq, an enchanting culinary destination nestled in the heart of Seattle at 1421 31st Ave S. This intimate restaurant has garnered a reputation as a haven for discerning food lovers, seeking a delightful fusion of Asian and French flavors. For those who value an immersive dining experience paired with a warm atmosphere, Iconiq is a gem worth exploring.

The passion behind the chef, Chef Kawai, is palpable in every dish he creates. His thoughtful culinary prowess shines through signature offerings such as the Braised Sweet Soy Beef Cheeks Risotto and the Oregon Ribeye with Wasabi Herb Butter. Customers rave about the tenderness of the filet mignon, a dish accentuated by a subtle yet exciting kick from the wasabi butter, crafting a perfect balance of flavors that linger long after the last bite.

Every plate at Iconiq is not just a meal; it’s an artistry. Reviewers have described dishes like the deconstructed clam chowder and caramelized scallops as a beautiful interplay of textures and flavors, drawing the diner into the experience. The attention to presentation is so refined that some diners find themselves hesitant to dig in—though they know they will not regret it.

But it’s not all about the mains. Diners can also enjoy lighter fare, including an exquisite endive salad that surprises with its delightful flavor, or the mushroom quiche, which has received accolades for its creamy richness and perfect crust. Each dish is executed with a flair that reflects a modern approach to classic recipes.

What makes Iconiq truly stand out, however, is its atmosphere. Patrons frequently comment on the cozy, almost private dining experience, especially during quieter evenings. The scenic views at dusk create an enchanting backdrop to your meal, making every visit feel special—ideal for a romantic date night or a memorable gathering with friends.

In reviewing Iconiq, what struck me most was how every ingredient seems to be chosen with care, every technique thoughtfully executed. The balance in each dish captures the essence of culinary exploration, merging tastes that pay homage to diverse cultures while creating something wholly unique. From innovative desserts like the soy sauce ice cream with apples and walnuts to more traditional fare, every bite feels like a celebration of flavor.

After spending an evening soaking in the ambiance and the exceptional menu, I can wholeheartedly recommend Iconiq for anyone looking to embark on a remarkable food adventure. It’s a place where flavor meets artistry and where the dining experience resonates long after the plates are cleared. Don't miss out on this Seattle treasure; it’s surely a destination that deserves a spot on every foodie’s map.

What a delightful dinner! The Wasabi Herb butter paired with the perfectly tender filet mignon dish was done fantastically. I loved the crispy hashbrown. The Braised beef and sweetheart looks small in the photos, but I swear that it it sizeable, 2-3x what the photo makes it out to be. The size/ shape of the plates make the food look small in pictures. We went on a Wednesday evening, and the space felt private. Small critiques would include the mashed sweet potato which reminded me of the Chinese sweet version of Hawaiian bread that I associated as a cheap flavor. Green beans were fresh but the chew felt rubbery. It may be common in American/ European cuisine, but I was not a fan of it. The menu is well priced, flavors were great, and we left full. I will be back!

For our latest date night, we discovered a true gem in our neighborhood: Iconiq Seattle. This intimate dining spot offers not only exceptional food but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to Chef Kawai and his thoughtful creations. We started our meal with the burrata and asparagus. Each bite was a perfect balance of creamy and crisp, and the presentation was stunning. The dish looked like an art piece, almost too beautiful to eat—but we're glad we did! The highlight of our evening was the filet mignon with wasabi butter. This dish was nothing short of perfection. The filet mignon was incredibly tender, practically melting in our mouths. The wasabi butter added a subtle kick that enhanced the flavor without overpowering the delicate meat. For dessert, we had the soy sauce ice cream with apples and walnuts. This innovative dessert was super delicious, reminiscent of salted caramel but with a unique twist. The combination of flavors was both surprising and delightful, making it a perfect end to our meal. Chef Kawai's friendly demeanor and obvious passion for his craft made our experience even more memorable. It's clear that he puts a lot of thought and care into every dish he creates, making dining at Iconiq Seattle a truly special experience. Whether you're planning a romantic date night or simply want to treat yourself to an exceptional meal, Iconiq Seattle is a must-visit. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu which will change with the reason!

Food exceeded our expectations, very rich in flavor, a very interesting combination of Asian and French taste. My husband and I literally went from to after the first bite. Food portion was small though, that’s the characteristic of French cuisine. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a food adventure

Went there last night after being curious about it for a year. So intimate and so lovely. We were one of two tables from 5:30pm-7:30pm on a Thursday. Watched a beautiful sunset and were well taken care of. The chef/owner was our server, and his only back up was his sous chef. They also did a great job taking care of our dietary restrictions (fiancee has celiac) and modifying things to make them work. Basically an-almost private dining experience for two, with a lovely view, at 100/person. Easily my favorite restaurant experience I’ve had in recent memory

We love restaurants that do just a few unique seasonal dishes and this place is one of them. Very cozy atmosphere with an amazing view and everything we ordered tonight were excellent. We had endive salad, which was surprisingly delicious. Scallops were fresh and cooked perfectly. Overall, the dish was very rich and creamy. But I will have to say my favorite was braised short rib. Puree and red wine sauce added wonderful flavor and the beef was so tender. For desert, we had Yuzu cheese cake that had berries and sorbet, which we both loved. We will definitely come back to try other dishes!

New Year's Eve Dinner last night. Wonderful tasting menu. Well composed with a balanced range of flavors, portion sizes were generous, black truffle add-on was reasonably priced, and the desert is one of my favorites because it was light, not too sweet, refreshing and well composed to the eye. Finally, the price to value for this meal was the tops in Seattle. We surveyed the various tasting menus for the New Year and none came in at a better value. Oh yea, don't forget the killer views of the city. Iconiq is located in the Mt Baker neighborhood so it's a bit off the beaten path but I would recommend it strongly.

Great dinner! We went there with friend’s recommendation for a celebration and it didn’t disappoint. Seasonal menu’s on-point and their infamous truffle risotto was a must. We hadn’t had a luck for last 6mos or so finding a restaurant worth paying for, and they were definitely worth it!! Cozy and elegant atmosphere, great service, and AMAZING food. Definitely will be back for more.

We were seated at the bar, which I think was a real treat. fantastic view downtown Seattle, the Olympics, and the sunset. Each course was better than the last. We had the baguette, tempura with burrata, the filet mignon with the shrimp, iberico with polenta, the special tomato desert, and the peach desert. Zero complaints for any dish that we had. It was clear that each dish had the highest quality ingredients and the flavor profiles were unique. Mixing tempura with burrata was absolutely a win, so was the tomato desert dish. The dishes gave me the impression that the chefs just enjoy food and what they are doing. The portion size was decent, we were both very full after our meal. And the ambiance was interesting. Almost like a private chef experience as opposed to eating at a larger restaurant. The chef has an affable personality so it was great speaking to him about the dishes. This place will be great alternative to eating in the city for a business dinner or a dinner out with your loved one. Street parking, so maybe add some Time for that, but we were lucky and found some quickly.
